I agree that the internet has become more than a source of information or communication. Because of the sudden rise of the social media frenzy, several new issues have arised. Most commonly cyberbullying for kids in school, especially seen in high school. Cyberbullying has been in the news a lot recently because of the many suicides from online bullying. I also think that it is important for people to be understanding of what victims of cyberbullying go through. The lack of face to face contact doesn't downplay the things being said.
I really like this article you chose. I do agree that cyber bullying has been a huge issue over the years and more so now. It seems to me that people are using social media as a wrong way to communicate, instead of being friendly, they like to hide behind the computer screen and make terrible remarks at innocent people. I believe we all have problems in our life and we do not know what problems others are going through so we should watch what we say because you never know.
ReplyDeleteGood article! I'd have to agree that cyber bulling as become a big issue in todays world. Too many people like to put things on social media that they shouldn't and it always leads to something big. A lot of people like to judge others and as they do they tend to take it to social networks. People don't pay attention to what they do or even say, they don't realize the danger they put themselves or others. I believe bullying has arisen and is becoming a huge issue especially with this new generation that is all out of hand.
